Alisa Tong

My name is Alisa Tong. I am 10 years old. I started learning dance at the age of 7 and participated in the large-scale stage play Mulan, where I played the role of young Mulan. I also took part in the International Dance Festival organized by the Lindance International Dance Academy and won a group gold award.

In 2023, I joined the CCBAG choir and have participated in multiple charity events, including performances at senior homes and for children with autism.

During the 2025 Chinese New Year, I was honored to be invited by the Mayor of Toronto and the Chair of Cultural Affairs to attend the Chinese New Year celebration at City Hall in downtown Toronto. I was also fortunate to be selected as the sole song-and-dance performer (excluding the lion dance performance) and was interviewed by CBC and other television stations, sending New Year blessings to all Chinese people in Toronto. Additionally, Mayor Olivia Chow shared a photo of our meeting on her personal social media.
